The morning of Abigail and Andrew’s wedding at Market Hall, my car broke down a block away from the venue in a busy downtown Raleigh intersection. It was one of those make the best out of the circumstances situations and I was lucky to be close to the venue and have my assistant to help lug all the stuff while my poor car was towed away! Life can come at you fast and unexpected shit does happen! But when I think back to that cool November day, it isn’t dead car battery that stands out… It is the delightfully classy wedding of Abigail and Andrew.
By southern standards, it was a small crowd, but that didn’t matter. You could feel an infectious joy among the family and guests! Weddings bring people together and its wonderful when everyone can relax and enjoy the celebration fully, without being stressed or overwhelmed. Definitely one of the most chill, easy going weddings I have had the privilege to work on!
Many thanks to my fellow vendors who made the day possible!
Market Hall is simply a dream venue to work at. The space lends itself to such a wide range of styles and decor. Themeworks Creative installed curtains and created a glittering crystal drape for the ceremony space. The couple created their centerpieces and we accented the tables with mercury glass votives. Jennifer Stevens of Ambrosia Cake Creations designed their cake, which was absolutely beautiful and Lynn Wittig and the folks at City Barbeque provided the most delicious dinner! Photos are courtesy of Laura Kesler Photographer, who is total gem to work with! The ladies of Wink helped our bride, maid of honor, and the couple’s moms get ready for the day!
My biggest thanks though go to Vic and Nina at All Events DJs, not only for bringing the party like they always do, but also for introducing me to this wonderful couple and their family.
