Aditi + Matt’s Indian-American summer wedding took place at The Meadows in Raleigh, North Carolina. Aditi + Matt wanted their wedding to reflect their fun personalities, down to earth style, and to highlight the beauty of the venue. They wanted to blend these aesthetic details with elements of Hindu wedding traditions in an event that captured their heritage and future together in equal measure.
We loved how instead of bouquets we designed hair flowers for the wedding party and provided them with jasmine gajra strands to accessorize with. Jasmine Gajra is incredible. If you haven’t ever seen it before, tiny jasmine blooms are carefully tied together into a garland that is both beautiful and fragrant. We are lucky to have a source for these that are designed with traditional methods in India.
The Mandap was the star of the wedding and the place we put the most design time and energy. It took 4 of us to design and install the floral sprays, greenery vines, carnation garlands, and jasmine gajra drapes. At the time, it was our biggest floral install yet, only to be eclipsed by another extravagant Mandap later in 2021!
We had a lot of fun with this wedding. It was a gorgeous day, we got to hang with some of our favorite vendors we hadn’t seen in a while due to Covid, and it was one of the first events that our newest team members, Allena and Kayla, played an integral roll in designing!
As always, we have to thank our vendor friends at The Gathering Co., The Meadows, and Three Region for being rad as always, it was truly a dream team to work with!
